Always be yourself!! Personality and passion for what you do is so important within the digital industry; if you let both these clearly shine through then half the battle is won.

Loves

I am a huge film fanatic, enjoy cooking and love eating out.

Hates

Couples who speak to each other on Facebook even though you know they are sat next to each other or in the same room.

Why a Chihuahua?

I am the smallest of the pack leaders but have been known to have the biggest bite. They are known to be confident and feisty which is definitely me and apparently they enjoy snuggling up on the couch in front of the TV which frankly; is where you will find me most weekends! The other pack leaders think I resemble one; is that a positive or a negative? well I am still trying to figure that one out!

Understand that the best candidates do not always get the job. It's not only about how good you are, it's about how good 'they' think you are, so focus on how you come across at interview as well. Candidates should practise interview techniques, it's not a natural situation to be in so your time should be equally split between focussing on content and delivery. Many have forgotten about the delivery part

Family first closely followed by Liverpool FC / Apple products & home cinema, I'm basically someone who has embraced their inner geek.

Hates

Lazy recruiters who send CV's without a candidates permission / the extra charges you get from budget airlines / Man United

Why a Brussels Griffon?

Apparently because I do look like one and that the Brussels Griffon is seen as a highly strung small breed of dog, with a bark bigger than you would expect for its size. They are intelligent and quickly learn tricks though which is a positive. My co-directors picked this dog for me, I'm still coming to terms with it.

Research the company the best you can, and ideally check to see if the person interviewing you has a LinkedIn profile so that you have an idea of their background. Also, its better to be dressed too smartly rather than not smart enough.

Loves

Fulham FC, films, music and running (although I don’t love it while I’m doing it)

Hates

Tomatoes, Cucumber, Chelsea and Tottenham. Not necessarily in that order.

Why a West Highland Terrier?

West Highland Terriers or Westies are known to be active, energetic and self-important (sounds about right). These little guys are confident and will stand their ground, regardless of the size of the other dog. They have a streak of wilful stubbornness and to do things their own way, in their own time (again, not far from the truth). Westies love to bark, and are fairly loud for their size (What can I say, I like to talk and like to be heard), which makes them excellent watch dog’s. However, they are easygoing, friendly and might try to lick a robber’s face (that hasn’t happened yet). Personally I think the guys chose this dog, not on personality, but more on looks. My hair does tend to stick up and I’m not exactly what you would call tall. Overall, I’m happy with this choice and the personality and spikey hair fits.
